What the rabbit beet taught me: True health lies in "intestinal environment" and "natural living"

Introduction

Beets, the rabbit, is a member of my family.
He has lived a healthy life with almost no illnesses for over 11 years.
He's only been to the hospital twice, and that was after accidentally eating a houseplant.

The biggest key to supporting the health benefits of beets was the intestinal environment.

And this isn't just about rabbits,
This is the essence of important health that also applies to us humans.

For rabbits, the intestinal environment determines their life

A rabbit's life is directly linked to its intestinal environment.
An imbalance in the intestinal bacteria can be fatal to a rabbit within just a few days.

Rabbits are creatures that ferment fiber in their intestines and absorb nutrients.
That is why,

  • Maintaining healthy gut bacteria
  • Does not stop bowel movements

These two things are absolutely essential for a rabbit to survive.

"Three ways to protect the intestinal environment" that we have implemented with beets

There is one thing I have been particularly conscious of while growing beets.

1. Natural diet = mainly grass

A rabbit's natural diet is grass.
Commercially available snacks and processed foods do not allow the intestinal bacteria to maintain their natural balance.

For beets,

  • Feed mainly fresh grass
  • Do not feed foods that are high in sugar or fat

I have thoroughly covered this basic principle.

Hay is the best food for keeping your rabbit's intestines moving and cultivating good bacteria.

2. Provide plenty of quality water

Water is essential to keep your intestines moving smoothly.
I have always given my beets good quality water with few impurities.

If the water is bad, your intestines will not function properly and toxins will easily build up in your body.
This is true for rabbits and humans alike.

3. Creating a stress-free environment

Stress can instantly damage your intestinal environment.

So beets have

  • Free-range style, not caged
  • A free environment where you can sleep and play whenever you want

has been arranged.

Rabbits are naturally cautious creatures and are sensitive to stress.
We have tried to allow them to be themselves, without forcing them to be restricted or interfering too much.

Rabbit health tips also apply to humans

When you see healthy beets, you are reminded of something new.
This means that humans also depend on their intestinal environment to survive.

  • When the balance of intestinal bacteria is disrupted, the immune system weakens and various diseases become the cause.
  • A diet high in processed foods and sugar destroys the intestinal environment
  • A stressful lifestyle slows down intestinal function and has a negative impact on the entire body.

In other words, rabbits and humans
Maintaining a healthy intestine is the foundation of good health.

Summary | Return to your natural diet and environment

Beets for rabbits can be beneficial without relying on special treatments or expensive supplements.
They live healthy lives on natural food and in a natural environment.

  • Natural diet (grass = mainly natural fiber)
  • High-quality water (not taxing on the body)
  • Stress-free environment (free living)

If you put these three things together,
Your intestinal environment will naturally improve, your immune system will be strengthened, and you will be less likely to get sick.
This is an important truth that applies to humans as well.

We too can be simpler and more natural.
I want to get back to a lifestyle that makes my body happy.
Beets teaches us that.
