To avoid suffering in relationships: Knowing the difference between people you should avoid and people you should meet

Make friends with everyone --
I once thought that was the "right way to live."
But in reality, I realized that the ability to judge the people you interact with can determine the course of your life.

"Accepting everyone" was dangerous

Ever since I was little, I've been the type of person who is open-minded towards everyone.
Because there are no walls, you can become friends with a lot of people.
However, at times, this may have clouded my ability to judge people.

Some people were talking about me behind my back.
Some people just disappeared without returning what they borrowed.
Others skillfully used their knowledge and position to manipulate people's minds.

People are not moved by words that have no experience

I have a habit of sensing whether people's words have any weight.
Is the person using words that come from their own experiences?
I unconsciously distanced myself from people who used borrowed words that I had heard somewhere before.

A relationship with such a person will not last long.
Rather, you will end up feeling emotionally exhausted and exhausted by your relationships.

There were also some very educational "encounters"

I originally entered the advertising industry because I admired nomads.
Among them, I met a certain person...
He used neuroscience and psychology to target people's desires and make them addicted to his marketing.

On the surface it was appealing.
But in reality, he was someone who would steal everything from me: my money, my time, and my relationships.
After I left, I was convinced.

A person's life is determined by who they associate with.
It was more than just about money; it was about the heart.

Still, I'm glad I met you

Strangely enough, those experiences were also like "teachers" to me.
He taught me by his own example the standard for people you should not associate with.

And above all, it gave me the opportunity to question whether I was doing the same thing to others.

I have a friend who I'm really glad to have met.

I have a friend who is 16 years older than me.
Someone with whom you feel connected deep in your heart, despite the age difference.
I have a relationship with him where I communicate with my soul, not with words.

When one of them is about to collapse, the other encourages and supports them.
And for the sake of their common patients, the two of them give their all, regardless of the tools they use.

It's not just a "get along" relationship.
We share a common understanding on a high level - which is why we can talk about our dreams together.

We share a dream of traveling together throughout Japan and the world to bring healing to people.
A friendship that connects at its core, not just on the surface.
I think this is what a "winning friend" is.

True friendship is with those who give

Truly important relationships are formed with people who give, not people who take.
It's not just about things.
Knowledge, wisdom, compassion, support, and companionship.
People who are on the same heart frequency will naturally be attracted to each other and meet.

I learned that through experience.

summary

You don't have to accept everyone.
Rather, who you associate with is at the heart of your life.

Will my soul grow when I interact with this person?
"Is this person a taker or a giver?"

Why not keep this question in mind as you go through life?

The insight underlying this article came from this book.
This book taught me that the true nature of "suffering" is the gap between reality and the heart.
I hope it will quietly reach your heart as well.
